What to do About Fox and the Fifth Column?

Tucker Carlson not only takes the Russian side. He repeats Russian talking points. The same goes for Sean Hannity and the rest of the Fox commentariat. They have very few actual news reporters at this point. They are turning their listener base against the government. They are, in Russian terms, useful idiots.

We have a well-organized movement against the government, as long as it is Democrats, or anybody not them. This movement is mostly right-wing. It is mostly white. In some ways, it’s older as well.

This has created the basis for a fifth column, and a new age America First Party that is far right. This is the basis for resistance to the government, and acceptance of autocratic rule.

Fox, and it is not just Fox, is rejecting democratic norms. They are literally pushing internal division and Russian propaganda even now.

They are now the fifth column.

The first amendment was created to prevent the government from regulating and censoring speech. This is one reason Fox is still active, and how the far right has created an information silo. However, at this point, we are entering what likely will be a global conflict.
