Western Reaction…off Ramp
The day after those massive attacks, Russia continued at a lesser pace. You know it’s not working when people go into the metro and sing songs. Instead, we had emergency meetings in the west and statements from western leaders that were not quite the final defeat of Russia but are not happy either.
The first involves the Alliance. Exercises are good but announced exercises after this are also of a deterrent nature. After all, Russia has not been shy. This is a war against the West:

Then there is this warning. In my view, they know who did it. This matters greatly because it clearly warns Moscow to pull back from its hybrid warfare on the West.
Stoltenberg said that NATO could invoke Article 5 of the Charter in response to Russian sabotage
The Alliance continues to closely monitor all incidents that may in one way or another pose a hybrid or cyber threat to Allies.
Stoltenberg did not go into the details of the latest cases of provocations, as they are under investigation. However, he noted that the explosion at the Northern Stream-2 gas pipeline became the most resonant.
