Well, there was a time when prophecy was accepted as reality.

However, in Russia people in places of power believe in astrology, prophecy and a few other things we moved away from after the enlightenment.

In the US it’s somewhat fringe, though fun as entertainment. The people who take it seriously are not in power. In Russia it’s pretty much mainstream.
