War Bloggers, the State, and Divisions

Throughout the war, military bloggers have become increasingly critical of the state. They are not only critical of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) but also crossing a critical line. They are daring to critique Vladimir Putin.

In the way of Russia, the Boyars do not go after the Tsar. Now let me be clear about who these people are. First, they are all former, and in Russia, there is nothing former about this, FSB, or the other three alphabet soup agencies.

They are also part of the Novorossiya, New Russia, and Russian Spring movement. They are your true believers. The way the system works in Russia, these people should get talking points and follow them to the letter, as the propagandist does on TV. They are going off the reservation.

So over the last forty-eight hours, I have been monitoring these channels. They remain critical, but less so.

Igor Streikov/Girkin is a special case. He is on the way or at the front. He is the second in command for a volunteer formation or an executive officer. The fact is, he is. And so far, the reward for capturing him alive is over $40,000 US Dollars.
