Wagner: The Death of Yevgeny Prigozhin

Yevgeny Prigozhin was on borrowed time. When going for the king, you’d better not miss. He did, and what happened to him is the most Russian thing that could happen to any Boyar who rises against the Tzar. I knew he was going to die, but not precisely how.

I admit, I expected tea or window. Still, it was a long fall.

His chief of security was on board that plane as well. He was supposedly the only one aware of what Pryghozin was doing. This shows a tad of awareness about safety. However, it was the whole command staff of Wagner on that plane. It was a perfect decapitation strike.

Now, he, and likely Wagner, will become a footnote. That there was a plan in place if he and his commanders were killed is true. What form that plan takes is a good question. Therefore, an informed take is that the siloviki are kicking every door of every active and former Wagner member they know of. If anybody resists, likely they will be executed, I mean shot by the police because they resisted arrest.
