Ukraine Strikes Crimea

What a sight! While sunning yourself, the Air Force base nearby gets hit. The Saky field in western Crimea led to the destruction of dozens of Russian combat aircraft. The base is located very close to the town of Novofedorivka. At least one SU24m was destroyed.

This is not that close to Ukraine. Rumors are flying that this was done using domestically produced missiles. These missiles have a theoretical reach of 300 kilometers.

There is more.

This was a red line for people like Margherita Simonyan. Nor is Ukraine openly admitting this.

The unofficial position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the explosions in Novofedorivka:

“We haven’t even started yet” 👹

There is also a piece of advice around flammable materials. So Ukraine is not saying we did it.

Regardless, this is big.

It places Crimea within range. This base is often used to stage attacks on Ukraine. This is one way to make life more difficult for the Russian Airforce. Yes, the same combat arm that’s not precisely covered itself in glory.

It also tells the pilots and technical staff that they are within range of Ukrainian weapons. As to tourists sunning themselves mere kilometers from this, they know it’s time to go home. The summer season has come to a sudden end.
