Ukraine Attacks Another Weapons Depot and Negotiations

Today I probably will keep it shorter, because this following statement may be where Russia is willing to compromise. However, I can see where it will crash and burn. So with no further, these are the current state of the rumors:

According to the Financial Times, published on April 22, 2025, Putin, in private contacts with Donald Trump’s emissary, proposed to “freeze” the front along the actual line of contact in exchange for a broader “package” — in particular, the US’s willingness to legally consolidate the Russian status of Crimea or block Ukraine’s accession to NATO.

Reuters confirmed the content of the FT article and clarified that Moscow is ready to give up full control over the unoccupied parts of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions if it receives these political concessions from Washington .

The Kremlin does not deny that “tense negotiations with the Americans are ongoing,” but does not disclose details.

The White House is considering legal recognition of Crimea as Russian and/or a long-term ban on Ukraine joining NATO, but no decision has been announced, CNN and Bloomberg report.

So, Russia will be happy to keep only Crimea, while returning the rest. Mind you, the rest is in ruins. And Russia does not want to face the cost of…
