Slight correction: Tucker has the distinction of getting fired by all three cable networks. Now that is quite the distinction.
We learned that Tucker Carlson had been let go from Fox News. According to the Los Angeles Times, Rupert Murdoch, the board canceled Carlson. I can be very cynical and say this is about the money he already costs. Or it could be the private messages or the next lawsuit with his former producer Abby Grossberg.
All this you can find all over other media. I want to highlight the invitation of Russian media to work for them. It’s hardly surprising given that they use him often, and Carlson mainstreamed white supremacy, as well as antisemitism and the big lie.
Yes, some of our members of Congress have mentioned this in passing. But Carlson has been essential in spreading Russian propaganda and far-right ideology. While I am sure both Russia 1 and RT are half joking, this matters for American media.
