Russia has a lovely Constitution. The first rule of authoritarian regimes is that they don’t care about these details. This is an enrichment operation.

Me

Since we cover Ukraine on this virtual platform, it’s important to note who President-Elect Donald Trump is tapping for National Security posts. The list includes interesting, chiefly loyal, characters.

First on the list is his National Security Adviser. This is a mission-critical post, and people who occupy it tend to be close to the President. So, who is Trump tapping? Congressman Mike Waltz, a retired lieutenant colonel and combat veteran. He is also an alliance skeptic and a China hawk. Those of us who read Project 2025 are all but surprised. But having the NatSec advisor openly be a China Hawk is transparent about where we are going. And we are going away from Europe.

Senator Marco Rubio seems to be the Secretary of State designee. He was a Neocon at one point, but now he is also an alliance skeptic. This is a problem because NATO helped us at one point. The only time Article Five was called on was after 9–11.

It’s the one that impresses me the most. The first two seem to have relevant experience as Secretary of Defense. This is Pete Hegseth. This is an ideological appointment…
