The Unserious Accuse Others…

There are a few facts here. They all go against the simplistic solutions offered by a far-right desperate to protect the holy of holies in their religion of death. The holy of holies is the gun. So instead of addressing the obvious elephant in the room, they are back to talking points.

We need more good guys with guns…

There was a School Resource Officer on site, that to his credit did maybe confront the nobody. There was another in Buffalo who did, and indeed saved lives, but did not stop the perp. So maybe a trained person with a gun could help, but when perps wear body armor, it seems both did. Moreover, the SRO never pulled out a gun. Like Majorie Stoneman in Florida, he was a nonactor within ten seconds.

We need a single point of entry…schools this has been done for decades. Here, from the post-incident report from Columbine:
