The Ukrainian Offensive is Likely On
Second update on this, because it has important specifics. We have, at the very least, a local counter attack:
Andrey Biletsky spoke about the situation in the Bakhmut direction:
“As a result of the offensive operations of the 3rd Specialized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, units of the 72nd brigade of the Russian Federation were defeated, the 6th and 8th companies of this brigade were actually completely destroyed, brigade reconnaissance was defeated, a significant number of armored vehicles were destroyed, a significant number of prisoners were captured. The so-called “Third Assault the Wagner detachment “suffered heavy losses. Offensive operations were carried out in a strip 3 km wide and 2.6 km deep, the entire territory was completely liberated from the Russian occupation troops.”
Update, via the Kyiv Independent on Twitter:
Russian brigade flees Bakhmut.
Ukraine’s Third Assault Brigade confirmed on May 9 that the 72nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces has fled Bakhmut.
Well, the parade is over, but operations never stopped on the line of contact. The first is regarding Wagner and Bakhmut, and in this, both sides agree. The first is a video with a translation via Twitter from Evgeny Prighozin. I must add this drama…
