The Stench of Fascism and the GOP

American media has the bad habit of always framing issues as both sides. It also tends to talk of balanced news and the idea of objectivity. The theory is nice. Give all sides in a disagreement a hearing. All get their day in the sun. This sort of works when disagreements are not that serious, and everybody agrees on the facts of the matter. This was the case over the 1950s all the 1990s. Members of both parties agreed on the base facts, and the disagreement was on how to deal with issues.
