The State of the War: Winds of Change
Gulagu.Net had a fascinating piece this morning from a whistleblower, presumably from the FSB. There were a few nuggets in the long letter that I used a translator, that I would like to share with all.
It’s worth translating the whole document, however. If you are so inclined, Google Translate does support Ukrainian.
So let’s start at the end of this document. Then I will highlight a couple of sections that to me, indicate Russians know the true state of this. And by Russians, I mean the Siloviki members of the security services.
The end is incredible. They know the war was lost:
I’ll add from me. The intelligence services are overplaying their hand and are lying to themselves. The war should be stopped as soon as possible without any conditions.
This is a reference to multiple alphabet soups inside the Federation. It’s just not the FSB. However, it points to the fact that some still believe the war can be won. This particular person does not.
Remember a certain bridge and how I kept referencing Ryazan? There is plenty of that in the letter:
Apparently, there isn’t a trend so bad that hasn’t carried even worse, but partly unanticipated options.
