The Russian Army and Other Stories
First, I want to start this with a piece about Patriot systems. It’s more evidence of reflexive control. If Trump were so concerned about who would pay, he would gladly sell these Patriot systems in Ukraine. Well, he is not:

Ukraine needs American Patriot air defense systems and missiles, but the Trump administration does not even want to consider selling these air defense systems to Ukraine.
These are the precise systems that Ukraine needs to tighten the net on to protect cities like Sumy. The administration's refusal is one more sign of what Trump wants, and it is clearly a Russian victory.
At this point, I will not ask what they have on Trump. It is not important. The administration has abandoned the free world for the authoritarian world. They are fellow travelers.
This brings me to the Russian army. Because honestly, that Potemkin village is still a thing:
