So today, Russia announced evacuations along the line of contact. They tend to do this before Ukraine starts a major advance. Who are they evacuating? Civilians who have been cooperating with the occupation force, for example. So this is the most comprehensive list via one of the excellent resources online, Agent of News. If you decide to follow telegram channels, this is a good one:
Russia has announced an evacuation in the Zaporozhye region. Two other evacuations ended in retreat
Moscow-appointed Acting Governor of the Zaporizhzhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, announced the evacuation of 18 settlements in the region, including the city of Energodar, where the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is located. In 2022, Russia has already twice evacuated the population in the occupied areas (in Kharkiv and Kherson regions), and after that they were occupied by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Details. The settlements from which Balitsky decided to evacuate “children with parents, the elderly, the disabled, patients of medical institutions” are located at a distance of 20 to 40 kilometers from the line of contact. In total, the Russian authorities are going to evacuate about 70 thousand people and explain this by the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are shelling civilian infrastructure.
