The Northern Caucasus Again…

I keep saying that the dissolution of the Federation may start in the Northern Caucasus. I have been watching this soap opera for weeks because we may very well be there. So first, some background. I swear, the Godfather has nothing on this; however, the Mexican cartels could.

So first, some background. Honestly, outside of Russia, it seems nobody is paying attention. Honest, until this extended to Grozny, I was debating touching it because it is truly a soap opera.

So, what are Wildberries? Think Amazon. It is the largest marketplace in Russia. They have pick-up points where you can pick up your orders in almost every apartment block in major cities with strip malls. Usually, the other tenant is a small grocery store. They don’t deliver to your house.

Their warehouse system includes almost every major city in Russia. A few months back, the one in St Petersburg burned, and it was a large one. Whether that was arson or just everyday Russian safety is a good question. They also employ a boatload of Central Asian immigrants because, like Amazon warehouses, it is very hard work. Let’s say many Russians don’t want to do it.

It is a product of the 1990s, and the conflict is at the top. Imagine if, after Jeff Bezos divorced, there was a shootout at the head corporate office. Well, that is what happened on September 18 in…
