The Metaphorical Knives Might Be Out and the Russian World

Well, been two weeks. No, it’s only been two weeks. But it seems some of the people who have become insanely rich can’t do without more major skimming from the top. I mean, villas don’t buy themselves. It is not Italian villas, New York City apartments, or London Flats.

I know it will have to be dachas north of Moscow. Some of those are swanky and worth millions of rubles and dollars. So Andrey Belousov is under attack:

“The Kremlin wars”: It seems that Chemezov, Patrushev, Shoigu and smaller figures do not intend to put up with the attempt to remove their people from the financial flows going through the Russian defense ministry.

An information attack on the newly appointed Russian defense minister Belousov has started.

Dossier project made a publication about Belousov, which is allegedly based on data from the official’s personal mail. This information shows Belousov as an ordinary “gray official”, petty corrupt adulterer, religious fanatic, a bit of a careerist and a fool. The publication aims at destroying the image of a “super economist” who is able to fight corruption in the MoD.

Dossier’s publication is a strike not only against Belousov, but also against Putin, as Belousov is his appointee and a person from his close circle.
