Russian. Vacationers have been forced to take the scenic route through occupied Ukraine to return home. Ergo, they are driving through the destruction of the war. They were lucky not to know there were mass graves, even in street medians, I suppose.

But this post, via Russian telegram, is incredibly revealing. Oh, and the photos are his too.

“A burnt walkie-talkie as a souvenir is strong. And a caravan of onlookers past Azovstal.

Burn, Lord. Do you have a lot of work”

The younger ones and I were just on the Crimean bridge during the terrorist attack, returning from vacation.

Arkhip managed to find on the Internet a video from surveillance cameras, where our car is visible turning around after the first arrival.

The second arrival slammed (you can’t pick up a verb, this is not quite an acoustic sensation) already strongly behind us, I heard and felt it, but my wife did not pay attention.

No, I didn’t see the dead, but after that I talked with the man who happened to be the first to turn around …
