t’s been a while since I paid attention to the Delyagin channel, so seeing this today was a tad surprising. Russia acknowledges that the Far East may be in play and admits to fearing losing it.

One of the reasons is demographic. I have alluded to this crisis in Russia in the past. It is not a simple one to solve. Also, China would love Omsk and Vladivostok back. But that is another discussion. So the Duma is passing this plan to deal with the problem, and trust me, it is a serious problem for Russia. It’s a long read. Enjoy:

I initiated, Sergei Mikhailovich Mironov supported the holding of a round table by the A Just Russia faction in the city of Vladivostok on “Ways to solve the demographic problems of the Far East.

Why Vladivostok?

Because it is officially the capital of the Far Eastern Federal District. But in general, Vladivostok is essentially the eastern, coastal capital of Russia.
Why demographic issues?
Because without solving this problem, in the strategic perspective, Russia could lose the Far East.

And this could be a geopolitical catastrophe.

And therefore I propose to consider and recognize the Far Easterners, as well as all
