The Berlin March Through the Eyes of the Resistance, with a Side of Trump

It is always educational to read this from Rospartizan. There are a few lessons for us as well, and in time it will become transparent. Norms don’t fully work when dealing with authoritarians. In fact, norms is the kind of appeasement they count on.

So, on the 1000 day of the war, there was another peace march in Berlin. The people at Rospartizan are very critical because just protests and marches failed to contain Vladimir Putin:

There is no need to be too angry at either the organizers or the participants of the “Berlin march” — it is a senseless waste of nerves. Politicized diasporas from all sorts of terrible countries have been organizing their psychotherapeutic actions in the West for decades. Look, supporters of the Iranian monarchy have been marching and picketing in exile against the Islamic republic for over 40 years. There are more exotic examples.

It’s just that the “Berlin march” has nothing to do with the real fight against Putin. It’s important to understand this and calm down about it. The organizers practically openly said the day before that they needed to raise their capitalization in the eyes of Western bureaucracy, to prove that they represent at least someone. They can’t prove this any other way than by organizing a procession with posters —
