Russia announced the end of the mobilization, partially because of resistance. However, this has not solved the manpower issues. Ergo, they are returning to the silent mobilization they were engaged in. This is but an example of this:

In Moscow, students with the right to deferment from the army are forcibly taken to the military registration and enlistment offices

On December 2, several students of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation were detained and taken to the Savelovsky military enlistment office. There they were forced to sign a waiver.

The students were kept in the military registration and enlistment office for more than 13 hours, without letting lawyers in. The brother of the detainee Matvey Yudin, Kirill, said that the students had already been taken to the military unit and were being held there.

“Matvey should have been released for an additional medical examination, but they didn’t,” says Kirill. At the same time, students are forced to sign a waiver of deferment.

Kirill told the Call to Conscience lawyer that his brother had allegedly been expelled, although he was in his first year and had not yet passed the exam.
