Russian Propaganda and the United States

Propaganda and active measures are related. It’s the heart of actions against the West since the Cold War. As I have written in the past, Russia stopped mostly all this during the 1990s. They were partially trying to rejoin the world as a responsible member of the world community. They also had severe internal issues.

After February 2022, European and American authorities took some action against some nodes of propaganda. Notably, RT was removed in multiple countries.

However, as the post below from MO points out, Russian propaganda is not completely gone:

Russian propaganda survived in Europe. “MK” AiF and Sputnik have survived on various platforms and explain to EU residents why their lives are bad.

The EU is fighting cars from Russia, but not peddlers of Z-propaganda: pro-Kremlin media managed to mimic or negotiate with local authorities. And they continue to brainwash Europeans, he noted, “We can explain.”
