Russia Needs the US and NATO to join the Fight

Before you say it, yes, the Russian military is near spent. They literally are facing the ignominy of defeat on the battlefield. This is the Winter War all over again. The great Russian Army is facing defeat at the hand of mere farmers! Full disclosure, I applaud the actual farmers taking Russian kit away. It’s ballsy.

You need to understand why many in the Russian Federation see Ukraine the way they do. First off, Ukraine has been part of empires for most of its history. For Russia, Ukraine is not just part of the breadbasket, but it’s a non-country. It is a non-nation. It is a bastard, speaking a díalect of Russian. The only future that Ukraine deserves is that of little Russia, with its language, and culture, forever banished.

This is the policy of Russification that led to the Holodomor, the great hunger of the 1930s. This is the same policy that meant educated Ukrainians, urban Ukrainians, who wanted a future, read and spoke Russian during the days of the Tsar.

The genocide of Ukraine, in the most technical of the definition, is a Russian state goal. These farmers are not supposed to beat Russia or steal their armor.
