Russia Continues to Prepare for a Wider War

Russian Landing Ship listing towed to port

First, let me state this. I don’t think they can expand the war. We are getting close to a soldier getting the rifle; the other receives the magazine. We may be getting close to soldiers regularly getting Mosin Nagants, like their counterparts in the Donbas. Trying to fight a modern army with next to no training is just silly and deadly. But it’s hardly unprecedented in Russian history.

So it’s time to dispense with logic and realize this expansion is possible. And I do hope to be wrong. Given the Rubble is collapsing, this will also make it less likely because Russia may be heading toward hyperinflation.

But what is partially driving this? One reason is drone attacks like the one overnight on one of their landing ships. Incidentally, Russians say that all marine drones were destroyed. Well, one was destroyed by impacting the Russian landing ship. And this is not in Sebastopol, but a port further east at Novorossiysk. Oh, and the photo, she is getting towed back to port. She was not damaged. That’s why she is listing, and that will clean up with some elbow grease. The Russian Ministry of Defense said there was no damage, and all drones were intercepted.
