(Editorial note on City and Oblast spelling. Ukrainians use Kharkiv, while Russians spell it Kharkov. I am keeping the spelling as is in translations.)

Things are getting worse for the Russian Federation. First, they are facing an offensive across three fronts, four if I count Kherson. First, the Federation has decided to abandon Kharkiv Oblast. This is to the point that some Russian forces have been allowed to leave.

Taking prisoners is a logistics problem. It’s a happy problem, but one nonetheless. According to Volymedia:

According to our information from the field, the Armed Forces of Ukraine occupied Volchansk until recently, a large stronghold and logistical point of the grouping of the RF Armed Forces, which was stationed north of Kharkov.

The main Russian forces began to withdraw to the border in the afternoon of 10 September. Small formations remained in the city.

According to our information, the remaining Russian units withdrew from the city and were allowed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine towards the border in exchange for the bloodless surrender of Volchansk.

The RF Armed Forces continue to leave for the Belgorod and Voronezh regions from the territory of Ukraine.
