Question: What Happens When Trump Finds Out?

Well, here we have an interesting mental exercise that is happening in real-time. It’s not just Americans finding out about the Trump administration’s policies. Now, President Trump seemingly is finding out himself that Vladimir Putin is using him. Given he is a narcissist, this will not go well:

Trump appears to be starting to realize that the Kremlin has left him in the lurch, — The Telegraph

📍The basic rhythms of Putin’s “unique style” of negotiations are becoming apparent: “Lies. Bomb. Lies. Bomb.”
📍Putin may also fatally underestimate Trump’s fiery temper, his sensitivity to humiliation, and the enormous economic and military power he wields.
📍The Times writes that Trump is convinced of Ukraine’s weakness, despises President Zelenskyy , and is angry about the multibillion-dollar aid provided by the Biden administration.

Raise your hand if you are not surprised by this. From the word salad the other day, a tad of awareness is coming into the administration. You can’t trust Russians. Hey, I could have told them this. I am sure now Congressman Alexander Vindman and Fiona Hill told them as much during the first administration.

Almost every member of the first administration who was familiar with Russia warned Trump. I am positive he was told this, but this man will not believe specialists because Trump knows best.

Yet, here we are. Trump admires Putin, but Putin is doing what he has done for decades. I fear Trump believed he could be a Putin whisperer, while the latter could laugh at the sanctioned bank. Yes, this American president is naive in the best-case scenario.

Now, we know that the Americans are getting it. This is part of the State Department transcript. So this is Secretary of State, Marco Rubio:

How long do you anticipate these negotiations to continue?

SECRETARY RUBIO: We’re going to — we’re trying to achieve peace. We’re committed to trying to achieve peace as long as it takes. That doesn’t mean that I can guarantee you that there’s going to be an agreement in a week or a month. I just can’t put a timeframe on it because it doesn’t depend on us.
