Peace Talks Are Fraught With Doubts

Today, Donald Trump was asked about the peace talks he has announced. He was asked if Vladimir Putin was leading him by the nose. Trump hedged his answer, and of course, the rest of us think he is.

So, there are two groups I want to point to in Russia. Why? Trump will be disappointed, once again. First, Volyamedia, and I am going to leave parts one and two as a single essay.

Putin wants to lead Trump along the “big road map.” Part 1

As expected, new details are emerging about the talks between Trump’s special envoy Steven Witkoff and Putin that took place the day before. Along with the details, new theories are emerging. Let’s look at both.

The American and Russian sides have so far only confirmed that “interesting proposals” were voiced at the meeting, which “can be considered and discussed.” Washington and Moscow also indicated that a meeting between Trump and Putin could happen in the coming days and will most likely take place in the UAE.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the Russian side has for the first time voiced the conditions under which it could agree to stop the war. As Rubio said, “now it has become clear what they want and we can work with it.” Rubio did not specify what he meant.
