Another critical update. The defenders, including their commanders, surrendered. This means that if there is a partisan presence in Mariupol, it is not led by the defenders of the steel works. They bought time for the rest of the army.

I can only theorize that this means not all of the defenders surrendered, and more than a few have gone partisan. This will only increase the issues for Russian troops, who will now be chasing ghosts. Doing this is quite demoralizing to a force, and personnel intensive.
