OPSEC Missile Strikes
Today, we learned that the United States, England, and France removed limits on striking inside Russia. Reuters and the New York Times went there as a perfect example of how we are still in peacetime and seem to have forgotten Operational Security.
So this was Yigal Levin’s reaction to the news, one that I share. I mean, I have laughed at Russia’s lack of operational security for close to three years. Yes, cell phone heat maps are fun. So are Russians giving time, date, and location through videos from the field, where there is little attempt to hide where these are?
So this news, while welcomed, should have come after a few of these birds flew to their location. Here is Levin’s post:
It is not very clear why Western media are leaking information that the US has given the go-ahead for strikes with thick missiles on Russian territory. For what? So that the Russians can quickly remove more valuable objects from airfields, logistics centers/hubs, warehouses, and bases? Storm Shadow was beautiful; why arrange this hype train?
If they really gave the go-ahead (we have the media here, yes, not a direct statement), this is a move straight out of the 5D chess spirit. The outgoing administration gives permission, and then there will be an administration that you can’t really present to. Like: Mr. Putin, don’t you like the Biden…
