Nuclear Power, History and a Plea to the Corporate Media

First, I came across this one this afternoon. It caught my eye because there used to be a severe heatwave in Eastern Europe; the heat map is from yesterday.

So, some electrical generation units are having issues. There is a conventional plant having issues in Yakutia. This one, though, is a nuclear plant,

Rostov-on-Don fell into a temporary power outage zone after a failure at the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant — head of the city administration

Now rumors are flying. These include an accident at the plant and a widespread failure in the distribution grid in southern Russia. I bring this to your attention not because we are about to have a meltdown but because I think Russia may be having issues with spare parts. I am bringing this to your attention because our media will not say a thing. Unless this gets bad, as in Chornobyl. bad, and I don’t think we are heading there, At least not yet.

Now, let’s look at some history. Some of this history is relevant to our corporate media, and others are relevant to us. I have already heard some anecdotal data that people are willing to give up and leave politics behind.
