Newsweek is starting to follow along. I know the Society of Professional Journalists has rules about confirming them. This is one reason the media is cautious. There is no physical way they could send a crew to Perm, for example.

I was surprised that CNN had so much freedom of movement in Belgorod for the first week. But right now…listen to Mathew Chance dance around censors, or the BBC.

This is why I mark this as speculation, even if the sources are Russian media, and it’s many of us doing open source intelligence on twitter, for example. I do not think anybody has a full list. However, a lot of the burning stuff is the wildfires. That is already bad.
