US President Donald Trump announced the signing of a rare earth metals agreement with Zelensky on February 28, but the key question remains on the agenda: what positions will the parties take in peace talks and what concessions is Putin prepared to make? We spoke with Putin’s former speechwriter, political scientist Abbas Gallyamov* about the mood in the elites at the start of peace talks.
💬 Ukraine is part of a deal between the US and Russia. Trump is ready to “surrender” Ukraine in exchange for Putin’s concessions in other regions — for example, in the Middle East, Latin America or on OPEC issues.
