More Unexplained Fires and Divisions
I know industrial safety standards are lousy in the Russian Federation. But these days, we must ask whether the partisans are growing boldly. We have yet another major fire in Siberia:
You won’t believe it, but an oil refinery is on fire again in the Irkutsk region
Upd. Not a plant, but an oil and gas condensate field.
Now this mild report is followed by this on Rospartisan. As I wrote yesterday, taking credit is a political act. No, there is no way to confirm whether this was an accident or something else:
Irkutsk region. Fire in an oil field
Winter has come — it’s time to warm yourself by the fire of the revolution, or the continuation of the chronicle of fires. At the Markovskoye oil and gas condensate field in the Irkutsk region, a flare combustion of the plant is taking place. The fire area is about 1000 sq.m. Preliminary reports of gas leakage and explosion due to equipment malfunction. Somehow there was a hardware failure.
Now, why would anybody hit these facilities? These are strategic facilities. It’s not just fuel for the armed forces, but export. While the west has put a ceiling per barrel, Russia would love to export to India and China.
Of course, there is a problem for Russia as well. There are a lot of mall fires…
