Overnight, Russia launched yet another massive attack. They feel our weakness. They know we are “moving on.” So, I spent part of last night tracking this. This morning, I came across this tweet from a Ukrainian I virtually know:
According to the official information from our Air Force, russian forces attacked Ukraine with 99 missiles of different types this morning. 72 of them were shot down.
Air defence downed 10 out of 10 Kinzhal missiles, 59 out of 70 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles and 3 out of 3 Kalibr cruise missiles. The main target was Kyiv.
Also, I want to add that I am grateful for your concern. But we have lived in this madness for so many months (almost two years). And any advice on what I should do or not seems not very appropriate. We will come back to Kyiv in the evening as planned. I am not the person who hides. No more comments from me on this topic.
Yes, many Ukrainians rightfully feel abandoned. It’s not in the news anymore. Once the war in the Middle East is over, or it’s obvious Israel is winning, I expect a new front. This is the geopolitics of this. Russia wants to erase Ukraine in relative peace.
