Martial Law in Occupied Ukraine

This is no surprise, to be honest. Russia has imposed martial law in all occupied territories of Ukraine. This is Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia. The intent is to safeguard social order and maintain infrastructure. According to an article on Telegram:

Putin’s decree divided Russia, relatively speaking, into four zones:

1. Martial law: LDNR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
2. Average level of response: Crimea, Krasnodar region, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov regions and Sevastopol.
3. High alert level: all regions of the Central and Southern federal districts.
4. Level of basic readiness: all other regions of the Russian Federation.

What will change for residents of the regions that fall into points 2 and 3?

Under these regimes, the authorities will be able to strengthen the protection of public order, introduce a special mode of operation of transport and communication facilities, as well as communications and energy, restrict the movement of vehicles and inspect them. In addition, the administration will be able to control the work of printing houses, as well as use them for defense purposes. In the medium-level response mode, the leadership of the region has the right to restrict entry and exit to the territory and relocate residents.
