Mark, just a note. Those drones were developed this year. The 1970s drones are the Russian excuse. Why? They will not admit they are getting clobbered by a former colony. After that slight nitpick, pretty good observations.

The first indicator that it was not TU-141 is the range. They simply can’t reach Engels or Ryazan from Ukraine. And dragging those across the border is not going to happen. On the bright side,these new drones have a range of 1200 km, reportedly. So they were launched from Ukraine. Moscow, Sochi and Altai are in range.

Did I mention these are favorite hunts for one Vladimir Putin?
