Is Russian Balkanization Starting?
We are starting to see important data showing that Regions are beginning to act on their own. The first is that the Oryol region does not share gas with residents of other regions. This was a week ago. This is the next strong noise signal that Russia may be starting to fracture along the same lines it did at the end of the USSR. Realize that is when some of the Russian Republics, such as Ukraine and then the Baltic, voted to get out of the USSR. In the new constitution, voting to leave is no longer an option.
So we are here. Not only is Russia imitating Ukraine, not a bad idea actually, for mobile fire groups, but more importantly, if drones are going somewhere else, it is not our problem. So, read this this way: Russia is slowly breaking apart. And land empires like Russia don’t act like a unified nation. A little clarification, BARS units were modeled on the US National Guard, these are mostly weekend warriors, though some have been sent to Ukraine:
