I would like to offer you the new way to look at weight loss and it is not CICO. I know it makes sense, but it is not energy balance. This is hormonal dysbalance and insulin resistance. Reduce the resistance, your body will be able to access those fat stores. You keep it high, forget about it.

For me this is key by the way.

I no longer care about calories (though they do stay under my "budget" because intuitive eating,) but about net carbs. After two years of the scale not moving after losing 50 pounds just by counting calories, it's moving again. And so far have lost two diabetes meds.

Mine is a LCHF diet, with IF, or as I like to joke, like we used to eat back in the 1970s, three meals a day, nothing after dinner, and no processed junk
