I will tell you what is hysterical. The talking points of neoliberal economics started in academic writing over thirty five years ago. You show your deep ignorance of basic academic facts for example by dismissing this as mere talking points. The term stands for neoclassical economics, or Manchester School of economics. All three are equivalent terms. Moreover, AMLO, for example, must be a secret fan of Bernie Sanders, because he ran against them the three times he ran for president (of Mexico, I realize now this clarification is essential) starting in 2006. Hell, it was part of his speech to the nation Sep 1. This talk is common, has been common, in political circles abroad over the last thirty years. Some are left wing, and by that I mean real left wing, not the simulacra of the US, and some are far right wing. some are centrists who realize it has failed. And the failed Washington Consensus is part of it. I expect you to notknow what that is. It’s a mea culpa for the US press, but if it bleeds it leads…

Then there are academic journals in history, political science and economics. In fact, most of those who use it as a talking point, including you, have no idea what it means.

You are pissed. That is your problem, not mine, quite frankly. If this intra-Party war gives you pleasure, who am I to stop you from shooting yourself in the foot? By all means, I do not need to even provide the tools…you are doing that just dandy.

And yes, you need to reach to those voters you despise if your horse wins the race, whoever your horse happens to be.

Do I know Bernie supporters? You betcha, part of the job. Do I know Warren, Klobuchar, Beto et al voters? You can bet the house on it. Do I know angry Hillary voters who would prefer four more years of Trump to any candidate they don’t like? I am having a one way conversation with one right now. And you are getting angrier and angrier, and makes me wonder how much of an authoritarian you are, not unlike Trump core supporters.

It is what it is. However, yes, you need to reach out for voters you hate in critical areas…like it or not, and smile while you do it. Or you will lose an election again. Even short term history is not your strong point.

Don’t worry about folks like me. Likely, nature of the job, we in the press will know far better what each candidate’s policy prescriptions are. We need to explain them to voters in simple language. Can’t wait to read actual policy papers by multiple candidates, and from your posting, it might include HRC…because otherwise you need a looooonnnngggg walk to calm down and gain some perspective.

And some of us do know what terms mean, or what facts are. Again, more HRC supporters voted for McCain, which is normal in elections, than Bernie supporters voted for Trump in 2016. The numbers range anywhere from 10 to 20 percent of voters per general election. This is why it’s a stupidly ignorant thing to hang on to by partisans. It is one of those expected facts of life. Party strategists know this. It’s time you learn it. This is why it’s getting old

Oh and one more thing…from the rallies we covered in 2016, the crowds at bernie rallies were extremely diverse. Hell, even the Ted Cruz rally was somewhat diverse. I could not tell you about HRC. Many in the local media were shut out. However, we talk to each other. Those rallies were poorly attended, especially near the end. Take that as you may. It is a fact in a universe of facts.

Hey, Trump sent a very business like denial, and a link to the feed. This was good. The counter rally was far more interesting (but just as dangerous to cover) than the rally inside the building.

I guess the press is the enemy of the people to some Democrats as well.

Take a llllloooonnnngggg walk. Gain some perspective. This war you insist on continuing could destroy your party. Not my issue really…it’s something to cover. And I know you will call me again a bernie supporter. Thanks for the laughs.

Now, I really need to get back to news…and see if a certain report is available on kindle? Some of us read this stuff you know. And it is…via DOJ…coffee brewed…it’s lllloooonnnnggg
