The authorities are developing an algorithm for evacuating the population from the territories near the ZNPP in case of an accident

Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk chaired a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the mandatory evacuation of the population under martial law. It was attended by representatives of regional military administrations, Ukrzaliznytsia JSC and others.

It was also reported that for the first time in four months, Zaporizhzhia NPP was connected to a backup power line.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi emphasized that the connection of ZNPP to the 330 kV line is extremely important, as in recent months ZNPP has relied on a single 750 kV trunk line for external electricity, which is necessary for reactor cooling and other systems. Before the invasion, the plant had four such lines.

This forced the Russian authorities to change their past plans for the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, although it is not guaranteed that they will not invent new ones.
