He highlights this in the latter part of the book, the role of industry.

But the story is more complicated than just capitalism. Or to be brutal, late stage capitalism. I have been going over the primary material at UCSF, and it parallels other industries. But there is also this honest belief by a few that sugar could not be that bad.

I mean, Hunter gatherers ate honey and fruit, right?

This parallels the lead story, took 98 years…the tobacco story, some are the same companies, the oil industry papers. So yes greed is involved. But I think it’s a tad more complicated.

But if we are going to change this industry we all need to vote with our forks every day. We shop at local farmers markets. And reality is, that alone reduces plastic use, for example.

Our meat comes from a local farmer.

Changes we have made, because it’s not just the sugar…but also the climate.
