Growing Ukrainian Capabilities.

The attacks on Russian strategic bombers and the raid on Sevastopol show growing Ukrainian capabilities. The Federation tried to claim that the attacks on the Ryazan and Engels airfields were carried out using Soviet-era drones to correct artillery fire. These Tu-141 Strizh drones are slow, bulky, and chiefly lack the range to reach the targets. This is why it made no sense.

It’s not like Russian border guards could be bribed to let any of these across the border with the troop's launch vehicle and support vehicle. Russian corruption is legendary, but I don’t think it’s that bad.

It made no sense. I suspected this was a new drone with the range and capacity to reach the target from Ukrainian territory.

This morning we got confirmation:

In Kyiv, they talked about drones designed to strike at military facilities at a great distance from Ukraine

Military airfields in the Ryazan and Saratov regions could have been attacked by drones created by the Ukrainian authorities in conjunction with private business, an anonymous defense adviser to the Ukrainian government told the Financial Times.

Details. According to him, as part of this initiative, it is possible to “frequently” produce such drones.
