Georgia and Syria

The last three days have been a geopolitical earthquake. Georgians are not standing idly while the Georgian Dream party takes them away from their European Dream. So they have taken to the streets all across the country. And the police have as well.

It does look like another Revolution of Dignity and a rejection of the Russian world. The post below is from an older woman. We will pull back from her in a moment. However, individuals are the ones that create resistance:

“I haven’t slept for three days, I feel pain for every drop of blood that was spilled” — — even in the smallest region of the country, Guria, anti-government rallies are taking place.

An elderly woman addressed the protesters very emotionally, and her message spread across Georgian segments of social networks.

My son is next to me. If you ask him his name, he won’t be able to answer — he’s mute, poor thing. I love you all — those who are standing here. I am ready to put aside my personal experiences and worries. Let’s fight for our homeland. I wish joy and goodness to those children who [spill] blood. I haven’t slept for three days, I’m crying. I love you all. It hurts me for every drop of your blood.

Let our meeting today be the basis for our future meetings as victors. I do not wish evil on those people who stand behind us [police]. Everyone has a mother. Everyone…
