Fat activism started by pointing out issues in medical treatment and social stigma. Yup, I can get behind that. Once it morphed, Frankenstein like, into this…not so much.

They are annoyed at the term obesity, or that one response from the AMA was to say the obvious, obesity is a complex disease.

Even if metabolically stable NOW. Obesity will lead to a slew of issues.

Incidentally, I had to laugh. My highest came due to Avandia. It’s taken decades to lose it. At one point I considered bariatric, not the easy way out either.

But I have done it. It’s work. And this is the kind of work many of these people don’t want to engage in.

Like Anorexia it should be treated as a psychiatric disorder
