Crimea is in Play
Russia took Crimea in 2014. They held a referendum where the population supposedly decided to go to Russia. International observers say that this had way too many problems. Over the last few days, Ukraine has hit three military targets inside Crimea.
These explosions have led to some measure of panic. Russians moved to the peninsula after 2014, taking over a lot of properties that were abandoned. Crimea became a favorite vacation spot for Russians. Three strikes, and there is panic.
Here we learn a few things. The first is that people tried to get out in the thousands. This led to a traffic jam across the Kerch bridge. It also led to desperate Russians at the strain station that wanted to leave.
So this morning, there were two developments. The first is that the Russians closed the Kerch bridge because they had intel that Ukraine would hit it. The reality is they needed an empty bridge. Why? The elite is getting evacuated.
The “prime minister” Aksyonov and the speaker of the “parliament” Kostiantynov have left Crimea, Channel 24 with reference to intelligence sources.
For a successful evacuation, the occupiers blocked the Crimean bridge for one night. The Moscow curator informed the Gauleiters about the possible danger to their lives.
