Correct, and that is a whole piece on its own. However, these people are mostly not part of trump’s base. This may seem like a minor distinction but it’s an important one. This is the core of the Sanders base. Yup, having covered the campaign, we covered those too.

I don’t think Bernie is running this year. But this speaks to the very real tension within the Democratic Party between a somewhat re-emergent FDR wing (progressives) and the DLC wing that took over the party. Parties realign, and at least to me, it looks like Dems are starting that painful process.

If we had a multiparty democracy, neither major party would contain as many disparate factions as it does.
