Conspiracy Theories, and the Second Wave

Pandemics have a rhythm of their own. This includes the passage of the bacteria or virus through human bodies, making it at times deadlier. They evolve towards efficiency in how they infect and kill. They almost always include waves. And in our present dysfunction, they include damaging conspiracy theories. They also have a president unable, or unwilling, to understand data. This hardly helps because the president is part of the problem.

As time passes, we will have a second wave. This is the expectation of almost every expert. Why? The winter of 2020 is going to be bad. When combined with the annual influenza epidemic, it is expected to overwhelm the medical system. The tools used to prevent it in the first place will come back. It is the dance with the virus, and it includes lockdowns. The vaccine will not be ready in time to prevent that wave. At best, we will see one by January, in the midst of the second wave.

We know that for some Americans this is a New World Order trying to control them and take away their rights. The vaccine itself is a tool from corporate or other overlords. It will have tracking included, the mark of the beast if you will. Or if you will, in another telling of the same theory, a way to track the resistance down when all rights will be suppressed. At least this version of the story admits the virus may have some reality to it. There are others, but all will lead to vaccine hesitancy. And if the vaccine has any issue with it, the anti-vax movement will attack it because they were right all…
