CNN has Indeed Decided to Go Far Right

I was way wrong and am willing to admit it. For reasons I can’t fathom, CNN will commit suicide and turn right. This will not go well because the FOX News crowd already has a home for aggrieved, mostly white, older men.

Grievance is the formula behind FOX. I am old enough to remember how they called CNN. People who think of the network as the Communist News Network will not turn to it for commentary because let’s be honest, Fox is mostly opinion.

The people who watch MSNBC are not going to suddenly go to CNN. This is the exact commentary they don’t like. Mind you I was willing to ignore the few Republicans who worked for Donald Trump doing apology tours. It was more like they always do with shifting control of Congress.

It’s access and both sides journalism which is toxic.

What changed my mind? The now five-day issue over Marines during one of the most consequential speeches in modern American history. Literally, CNN is trying hard to distract us from the speech pointing to the danger within from a very vocal far-right minority with Marines. This is a very real danger, as we saw on January 6.

They are saying Marines were the wrong optics because no president has done this ever, except they all have.
