Because I don’t have a subscription. Also it was of interest where this popped up. That was the point of the piece. Most people can go to the WSJ.

Most folks are not going to go to TG or Meduza .

By the way…it’s an old military EMS saying, expect the worse, plan for the best. We are in one of those moments. But my experience with totalitarian societies tells me we are just starting down that ugly rabbit hole. If it gets bad enough, well, you won’t have to read me. Because at some point it will be clear why Russians, or Iranians, have so much trouble getting information outside approved places.

And yes, one of those worse case expectations is a closing of media spaces. Be forewarned, hope to be wrong.

So will be what will be. And now that story is starting, to use a Russian word, to clarify. And the reality is…it’s still not a good plan…at least what we know publicly. I won’t go into some of the stuff appearing in the edges in the US…a graduate student might put those dots together well after I am dead.
