❗️The Kremlin is lying, saying that the silence in the Black Sea depends on the issue of sanctions and that the alleged start date of the silence on energy is March 18, — Zelensky.

(Fun fact: Russia attacked energy facilities in the Summy region, for example, already. Incidentally, the response was from the Moscow region.)

If you thought inviting the editor of the Atlantic to a Signal chat was bad, wait, it gets worse. Where was this editor? Austria. Here, his telling of the tale to the Bulkwark this morning.

Oh, and it gets even worse. Where was Steve Witkoff at the time of that chat? Moscow, yes, that Moscow. The only thing that would worsen it is if he was inside the Kremlin.

Yes, Signal is good. In fact, for civilian apps, it is the best encrypted on the market. Now, be honest: Do you think the Kremlin or Beijing are not motivated enough to have the technical means to join that party call? I will save you the speculation; this Republican congressman agrees with me. I guarantee they were along for the ride.

Now, what else is going on in the world? What was Witkoff doing in Moscow besides getting a portrait of Trump from a Russian artist? From what I understand, it’s the best part of that ego-stroking…err, manipulating. He was there negotiating. And I guess those negotiations were going to collapse, alas they managed to save some of it. How do we know they were not going well? Well, first incidental evidence is here:

“Here she is, American casserole”: Russia mocks Witkoff, who believed Putin about the order to shoot down his own drones

Russian propagandists are openly mocking US President Donald Trump’s special representative, Steve Witkoff, and the entire White House administration. In particular, they ridicule the “gullibility” of Americans who believe all the nonsense that Kremlin representatives pour into their ears.

Thus, Witkoff earned the “title” of “American scum” from Russian propagandists for his statement of confidence in the assurances of Russian dictator Putin about the alleged shooting down of drones
